Here is a message from Nurse Jaymi about medications. Families— As the cold and flu season approaches, please know that in the state of Kansas, cough drops are considered a medication in school. Any prescription medication or over-the-counter medication, such as cough drops, at school, requires a medication authorization form to be completed by a parent/guardian, and the medication be kept in the health office.

The 5th graders attended GiveFest today. All local 5th graders were given $10 to donate to an organization of their choice! We read about the organizations before our visit today. While at GiveFest, the students got to chat with people and learn even more. Great experience!

Our students will be participating in the USDA fruits and vegetable program, which is providing our students a type of fruit every Tuesday and a vegetable every Thursday. Our head cook Kathy Desaire wrote the grant and received it for the school. Attached is a flyer that explains a little bit about it. https://5il.co/2ydhl
