The sixth graders created games that showed two different forms of potential energy, as well as kinetic energy. They worked hard and created some amazing devices!

Congratulations, Addyson McMillan! She is the District 6, 3rd place Patriot's Pen writing contest winner!

WGS welcomed a visitor all the way from the Truffula Forest! The Lorax, AKA Mrs. Davenport, spent the day celebrating an incredible accomplishment. Our 4-6th graders had been working toward a goal of 2,500 AR points. Their dedication paid off as they soared past their goal!

Lacy Bruggeman, the district's school psychologist, is very grateful to the Wiesner Foundation for the purchase of an early childhood testing kit. The Wiesner Foundation has been very supportive over the years in helping the Ellis district purchase evaluation materials used in special education evaluations. Thank you, Wiesner Foundation!!

WGS fifth graders attended Give Fest today.💰 Students each received $15 to give - real dollars that go directly to local nonprofits! Every student gift helps grow the impact for the organizations they choose to support. Give Fest is put on by the Heartland Community Foundation.
