WGS wrapped up holiday week with light-up caroling, spreading festive cheer and bright smiles as students sang together to celebrate the season! 🎄✨
WGS 6th graders got creative building cardboard gingerbread houses—creativity, problem-solving, and lots of holiday fun! 🍬🏠

Today "The Grinch" ventured all the way from his cave on Mount Crumpit to surprise the students of WGS. Thank you to Nick Keller for spending the day with us spreading holiday cheer and lending a helping hand around the building!
The, the, the, the GRINCH! 💚 We sure saw a lot of green in the WGS hallways, and even had the Grinch roaming our halls! Tomorrow is holiday sweater day.
Mrs. Starns's second grade class showed the most holiday spirit today!

Sixth graders had fun at their "coffee shop" for the day in Mrs. Davenport's reading class!
Students earned this celebration after deconstructing Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky" and then creating their own nonsensical poems. They had the opportunity to read their works aloud and enjoy hot chocolate, tea, and mini muffins.

It's the most wonderful time of year! Our WGS student's winter program was a hit! Thank you to Mrs. Wildeman, Miss. Vilaysing and Mrs. Dawson for putting the crowd in the holiday spirit.
The sixth graders created games that showed two different forms of potential energy, as well as kinetic energy. They worked hard and created some amazing devices!

Congratulations, Addyson McMillan! She is the District 6, 3rd place Patriot's Pen writing contest winner!
WGS welcomed a visitor all the way from the Truffula Forest! The Lorax, AKA Mrs. Davenport, spent the day celebrating an incredible accomplishment. Our 4-6th graders had been working toward a goal of 2,500 AR points. Their dedication paid off as they soared past their goal!
