Kindergarten Mother’s Day Tea was held Friday, May 6 at WGS. This tradition started over 15 years ago and is a special time to celebrate moms. The students sang songs, served their mother cake & punch. The kindergarteners were so excited when their mom opened up gifts they made.

2A had a fun accomplishment. Every single student got 100 AR points or more. We think this might be a new record. Either way, such an accomplishment deserves ice cream! 🍦❤️📚

All year the fourth graders have been writing letters to their pen pals, who are members of the Ellis community. This afternoon they got to meet them in person. It was a great experience that the students really enjoyed!

Mrs. Burd’s science classes recently learned about a farming operation in Utah that provides fruits and vegetables to stores, such as Walmart! The students then created a life cycle of a watermelon plant, actually planted watermelon seeds to take home, and colored a picture.
