EHS alumni Jessica Gamez was a career speaker for Ellis junior high today. She talked to students about her career as a dental hygienist. Jessica shared lots of interesting information about her life and her endeavors.


Yesterday the EHS choir traveled to Bethany College! They worked on the District Honor Choir audition music with students, schools, and faculty from all over the state and then performed a mini concert.


The “Super Slammers” were the winners of our first seminar reward activity. We had five teams in our volleyball tournament today, and a great time was had by all!

It's Senior Night and a beautiful day to watch some EHS Football! The Railroaders will take on the Plainville Cardinals tonight (Sept. 30) at 7:00 PM. Ellis JH Football moves to 3-1 on the season! A great team effort tonight led the Railers to a 30-24 victory over Ell-Saline.

Tough conditions with wind gave the Railers the opportunity to improve and strive to want to get better. Proud of them. Avery Boydston and MaKenna Kohl place 2nd and 9th, respectfully in the HS division. Aiden Aschenbrenner finished 6th in the JH race.

EHS woodworking students started their lathe project today with Mr. Ken Eberle. We are so thankful for his knowledge and willingness to help our students learn about the wood lathe!

Community Service Day

Both JV and Varsity Volleyball traveled to Hoxie yesterday to play a Quad. Both teams went 1-2 on the night.

Varsity lost a close match against Hoxie 22-25, 23-25.
Ellis beat Oakley 25-14, 25-19.
Ellis struggled this match and lost to Trego 21-25, 19-25.

Ellis lost against Hoxie in three. 25-15, 20-25, 9-15.
Ellis beat Oakley 25-20, 22-25, 15-11.
Ellis lost to Trego 25-27 14-25.

HS Varsity took on South Gray in the semifinals dropping the match in 3 sets

Lady Railers went 2-3 today placing 4th as well.
