Music theory students have been learning about recording and sound creation the last few weeks! They have written songs for film clips for and this week began learning about Foley artistry--using things found in the room to create the sounds for a video!



The HS KAY Club celebrated a great year and recognized the officers for their hard work. Cupcakes are always a good thing!

EHS Architecture and Engineering students were tasked with researching, designing, building and testing a bridge structure. Today was test day, and it was pretty impressive how much weight their designs could hold!

Ellis Track and Field came out swinging at our home track meet yesterday. Our Girls absolutely dominated, taking first out of seven teams, raking in over 200 points. The Boys had a tight race for first but ended up in 2nd as a team. We had dozens of personal records set and we placed a significant amount of athletes.

The Ellis Softball and Baseball games for today have been postponed to May 9. The originally scheduled softball game for May 9 will be moved to a date to be determined. The High School Track & Field meet today will go on as scheduled.

Prom 2023 decorating is underway....






Looking for a fun activity the Friday evening of the EHS Alumni weekend? Join the EHS STUCO for a Color Run - Railer Style! There is a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk/Bike OR you can do the self-timed 5K. Would be a great activity for parents and kids. $10 for adults & $8 for kids will get you registered with a white t-shirt included. Then, get your white shirt covered in Railer colors as you make your way through the course! Email sdowning@usd388 to register!

Congrats to Kayla Julian on being selected for the Kansas State FFA Band for the 2nd year in a row! She will perform alongside students from all over the state during State Convention in May.


Students got to showcase their art at the Fort Hays art day today. Many came away with awards for excellence in art and got to tour the art and design building on campus!
