Juniors traveled to Hays today to participate in their mock trial. They did an amazing job! Thank you to the parents who served as jurors and helped select the winners for our categories.

Ellis Public Library Halloween Makey Information

The Ellis High School Fall Sports Seasonal Recognition/Awards Night has been rescheduled from Thursday, November 9 to Sunday, November 12 at 2:00pm. This event will be held in the EHS Auditorium and Commons and is for our cross country, football, and volleyball teams. Parents, families, and community members are welcome to attend.
EJH KAYS will be hosting a Halloween Dance on Thursday, October 26th from 8:30-10:30 PM!

The Game Day Spirit Showcase schedule has been released for Saturday, November 18. The Ellis Cheer Team will compete at 8:50am (Crowd Leading), 10:21am (Band Chant), and 11:51am (Fight Song). 2A finalists will be announced at 1:09pm with final performances beginning at 2:08pm. Good luck to our Railer Cheer Team!

The KSHSAA 2A State Cross Country Meet is set for Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Wamego Country Club, 1900 Country Club Drive in Wamego, Kansas. Spectator parking is at the Wamego Athletic Football Complex to the west of the course off of Columbian Avenue. Admission prices are $10 for students (K-12) and adults. Tickets may be purchased in advance via GoFan (https://gofan.co/app/school/KSHSAA) or at the event (cash only). Pets are not allowed on the course. The 2A Girls’ Race is scheduled to begin at 10:35am. Additional information can be found on the KSHSAA website (kshsaa.org). Ellis High School Football will be hosting a Bi-District game on Friday, October 27th against the Sterling Black Bears! An additional Fifth Quarter has been added and will be held after the game for all Ellis High School students!

The Ellis Recreation Commission will host its Annual Halloween Candy Hunt on Wednesday, October 25th. This is for all Ellis High School students, grades 9 - 12.

The Booster Club meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday, October 25th, has be rescheduled to tonight, Monday, October 23rd. Start time is still 7pm.
High school FCCLA, FFA, and KAYS members helped gather nonperishable food items during the Trick Or Treat So Others Can Eat event on Sunday. A total of 1,338 pounds of food was collected for the Ellis Food Pantry.






Tomorrow - Monday, Oct 23rd
Several JH Students signed up to attend a Scholars Bowl meet in Ness City. Students attending are asked to wear a Ellis shirt, bring a water bottle (Ness City is providing a snack, but not drinks), and bring money to stop at a convenient store after the meet.
Students will leave tomorrow at 12:30, the meet begins at 2:00 at the Ness City High City.
