Enrollment fees will be paid in person on Thursday, August 10th from 8am to 7pm and Friday, August 11th from 8am to 3pm. All payments must in check or cash only. It's going to be a great year!

EHS graduate, Harlie Bittel, shows off a new lunch & outdoor classroom space at the high school. Through her work on the Youth Action Council, Harlie applied for a grant for additional concrete, tables, and lawn games for EHS students. The Heartland Community Foundation funded her grant request, and there are plans to use the new space on the first day of school! Great job, Harlie!

USD 388 Activity Reminders:
- Sport-specific activity is not allowed from July 30 - August 13
- Voluntary weight training and conditioning is allowed
- USD 388 Sports Parent Meeting is set for Tuesday, August 8, at 7pm
- Sports physicals and head injury release forms must be turned into the office before the first date of practice which is August 14 for fall sports. There is an updated physical form for the 2023-24 school year. Please ensure you are completing the newly updated form.
The JH/HS XC team store is open with Vineyard Creations. Participating athlete's order will been done separately so only order extra apparel or for family and friends.

JH/HS XC Practice starts August 14th. Practice 14th-18th will be 7:15 - 8:30 am at the high school. The week of August 21st practice will be 3:30-5:15 pm. Athletes you must have your physical and athlete forms into the high school office before you can participate.

Welcome Kathy to the USD 388 family!
Hi! My name is Kathy Desaire and I will be your new Food Service Director in the district and Head Cook at the grade school. I am excited to start the new school year. I have 35 years of experience in food service and love to cook for others. I am an Ellis High Alumni and have lived in Ellis most of my life. I have two children and two grandchildren.

Competing in the USATF National Track Meet in Eugene, Oregon, Avery Boydston places 2nd in 15-16 division 3000 m race with a time of 10:32.66.

High School Volleyball Practice begins August 14th! Practice the 14th-18th will be 8:00-10:00 am at the high school gym. The week of August 21st practice will be 3:30-5:30 pm. Please have physical forms turned in before practice starts!

The High School Railer Volleyball team store is open with Vineyard Creations. Girls' team shirts will be a separate order.

Boydston girls are USATF National Champs. Taryn ran with two other MCL athletes to win the 13-14 yrs. 4x800 race, 9:55. Avery ran on the winning 15-16 yrs. 4x800, 9:22. The Boydston’s are competing at Nationals in Eugene, Oregon this week.


12 students are representing Ellis JH and HS at KAY Leadership Camp at Rock Springs this week. Have fun!

Ellis Cheer is attending Cheer Camp in Coffeyville, Kansas. These girls received awards tonight at camp. Kylee Pfeifer, Kaydawn Haag, Braelyn Born, Ava Reed, Makenzie Kohlrus, Taegan Shannon, and Maleah Vine earned All-American and Leah Reed was chosen as a Pin It Forward from a camp staffer.
