The junior high wrestling team traveled to Hill City for matches with Hoxie, Trego, Rawlins County, and the host team Hill City. “The team wrestled much better this week and was able to win 25 out of the 42 matches wrestled.” Sam Byers, Colton Metzler, and Jersee Fabrizius were all able to go 3-0 on the night. Seven other wrestlers went 2-1 for the evening. The team then traveled to Hoisington on Saturday for a tournament. Piper McClung, Asher Haag, and Baylor Born were all able to win their weight class. Talon Pyle was our lone second place finisher. Westin Vine, Colton Metzler, Trenton Schartz, and Lyla Richards wrestled well and came home with a third-place finish. The team is busy again this week with matches at Ellis on Thursday starting at 4:00 and then travel to Larned to make up the tournament that was postponed from a few weeks ago.
