"This was the best team performance for the Railroaders, as valuable contributions came from many team members. The Railroaders averaged nearly 8 yards per carry on the ground as the offensive line and lead backs set the tone up front. Through the air, the team found success on some quick routes and isolating 1 on 1 matchups. Defensively, the Cardinals' size up front presented a challenge, particularly on the interior where they were able to control the ball well in the second half of the game. However, the Railroaders battled all night long, and it was that effort that gave the team a chance to win late. A special teams touchdown return helped the team regain the momentum, but ultimately a few miscues throughout the game proved costly as the Railroaders fell 25-30 and moved to 1-1 in district play. The team still controls their own destiny as we travel to Oakley to take on the current district leader. A double-digit victory on Friday places the Railroaders in the driver's seat in District 8."
