Railroader Families and Community Supporters,
At a special board meeting last night, the USD 388 school board voted 5-2 to begin participating in 8-person football beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.
Feedback on the issue was acquired via a community survey and conversations with our student athletes, staff, community members, and others. There were many differing opinions about the best course of action for our students.
After considering all of the feedback and after a lengthy conversation during last night’s meeting, the board made the difficult decision to move to 8-person football. This decision was based on many factors.
The feedback received regarding this issue was carefully weighed and is greatly appreciated. We hope you join us in supporting our student athletes and coaches as we move in this direction.
